While it is important to understand and acknowledge that there’s an issue, the desire to change is even more critical. In order to motivate yourself to change, you must set goals for yourself. They don’t have to be complicated. They can be simple goals, such as showing up for work on time or not missing project deadlines for an entire month or being on time for dinner dates with your significant other. Simple things like this that are easy to do can keep you motivated for bigger goals in the future.

Sure, there are going to be situations where you can’t say no to a particular project at work or a task at home. However, if it’s something that someone else can handle, delegate it to them.
