What are the benefits of working from home?
The very obvious advantage today of working from home is your safety during this Covid-19 pandemic. Working from home you are less likely to encounter a person that could possibly infect you with the virus. Likewise, if you are carrying the virus, the possibility of you spreading the virus is low. The benefits of working from home today are not only good for yourself, but for the community as well.
The appreciation of the benefits of working from home may vary from person to person. But here are the seven (7) advantages of working from home:
Freedom of schedule
This might be the most valuable benefit of working from home if you hate waking up early. Most work from home jobs offers the freedom to schedule your own office time. This provides more flexibility on what to do with your time. You are not bound to a specific schedule.
Personalize Office Space
If you are super picky about the table, the chair, or the location of your office desks, then working from home is best for you. Another amazing benefit of working from home is you can choose how your office space would look and feel. You are more in control of the ergonomics that you can be more effective.
There is no dress code
What you wear is often an extension of your personality and working in a corporate office can suppress your true self by adjusting to an office attire. Working at home, you are free to choose what to wear and how you should wear them unless there is a need to show your face in zoom.
No unnecessary distractions
This might have happened to you. You are busy working then suddenly your office mates group themselves together and discusses the scores of the latest NBA game. Unless you are a basketball fan and care less with your deliverable, then you’d join in the corum. But if what you need peace to solve and figure something out, then one of the benefits of working from home, is you are left with our own peace of mind.
If you are working in a city, then you would certainly feel this benefit working from home. Having to work at the comfort of your home means that you don’t need to be trapped on that dreaded commute to work. You will not waste valuable time in traffic. And you will not expose yourself to pollution.
You can save money
Starbucks, some it is a necessity that originated from a temptation. In an office setting, there are so many temptations to and from work. Those unnecessary coffees and snacks, that if added up, is a significant amount of your monthly budget. The benefits of working from home, is you are away from those temptations that can force you to spend on unnecessary products. You’d be more likely to save money working at home, than working at an office.
You now have more time with your pet
Working from home gives you more control over the time you have for the day. At home jobs also eliminate the valuable time you spend commuting to work. These benefits will provide you more time to spend with whom matters most to you. You have more time to spend with your loved ones, and you have more time to take your dog for a walk. And you can still be productive and comfortable at home.
The clear benefits or advantages of working from home is you have more control of your time, you have more control of your working environment, and you are less likely to spread or get infected with the Covid-19 virus. Working from home might just be the mainstream work set-up of the future. Companies are also having the benefit of lesser office operational expenses. But as an individual working to earn money, it is most advantageous for us to work to where we are most comfortable.

Thanks for the comment.
Yeah true. We can be more efficient at home because our mind is focused on the task at hand.

Well written! I love working from home. I have faced a lot of distractions at the workplace for the very reasons you mentioned - people grouping themselves and talking about random topics. Being at home, helps me to concentrate and have more control over who can barge into my working space.
