As soon as I found this request I immediately remember all those stickers I have collected and how I used to enjoy decorating my bicycles with them.
Most of bicycle stickers are commercial or have been created with some kind of commercial purpose but there are also lots of humorous stickers to use on your bike or even on your car bumper.
It is frequent to see bicycles full of stickers and kids who want to have all the different stickers they can get their hands on. I have done that for ages even though I have not stuck most of them anywhere and if you ask me I still do not understand why I love to collect them.
Every time I found a new one I always think how nice it would be stuck somewhere but then I almost never stick them and they stay idle for years inside some bicycle magazine or book.
Types of bicycle stickers
The first bike stickers that come to my mind are those which bicycle manufacturers use to decorate their bikes usually with the brand name and the model of the bicycle. Nowadays it is also usual to see more complex decorative stickers to make the bikes more appellative for the younger ones.
Then there are those stickers from different bicycle component or bicycle wear brands which are mostly used by professional riders to publicize their sponsors. Of course that people who do not race also want to have their bikes looking like the ones from the pros and it is common to see low cost bikes full of stickers from expensive bicycle material brands.
Then there are those stickers I really do not like to see on a bicycle - the safety warnings stickers. You may say they are very important and all but I will never leave one of those on one of my bikes at least after I have read them. It is probably my "weight weenie" side speaking but I believe those stickers are nothing more than dead weight on my bicycles LOL.

Safety - reflective stickers
I almost forgot those reflective stickers which help other drivers to see you and your bike. These stickers are often used on the bicycle helmets or on the bike and they reflect the lights from other vehicles and make your ride safer.
What about you?

Well. I am an original mebemr of the rubber room club. Of course, I remebemr that episode quite well, Katie. I remebemr you weren't too happy with the therapist who basically told you that it was time to grow up. And he meant it in the best way, that you were quite capable and had much to offer. What's funny to me now, though, is that in a weird kind of way, I was listening to his advice too I guess we have been kind of growing up together.

Hi Topstuff, I`m sure you`ll never see anyone messing with your bike again after putting that sticker LOL.
Hey Mulberry, I know what you mean because I also don´t use them on my bicycles anymore ;)

I see so many stickers I just love, but I'm such a priss-wad I don't use them on my own bike or car.

I´m not much of a collector but I must admit I have been gathering bicycle stickers since I was a kid. If you ask me I don´t see it as a collection (even though it is LOL). My wife hasn´t complain about the stickers collection yet, she only complains about my bicycle collection LOL :D

Hi G-Ma, it´s always great to have you commenting on my hubs :)
I´m LOL with the image of you putting those stickers on your new car and your father going mad about it :D
That kid is very lucky to have you as a friend. Visibility it´s one of the most important features to avoid traffic accidents. Every time I go for a ride on public roads I always wear my yellow reflective jacket so that everybody can see me more than a mile away LOL. Now that I think about it I could put some of my stickers on that jacket... :D
Allow me to kiss you and wishing you a healthy and peaceful 2009! BIG Hug ;)

Hi sweetie...That is so cool and is so fun to do...As an older adult (hee hee) I don't do that anymore but when I first got my first car ...a 1951 chevy 2 door sedan...white yet..I placed those decals used for babies rooms on each of my doors..OMG my dad was furious with me and wouldn't be caught dead in it either...eventually He made me remove them...amd what a JOB that was...
But want you to know that because of your BIKE hubs I have purchased reflectors and lights accessories for this 7 yrs old boy I have watched for 6 yrs...He and his parents ride all the time but have failed to do this...(he is the one that wants me to get a 3 wheeler) To Me is so important to be safe...I just hope they get some for themselves...but at least I know the boy has some safety devices...Thanks my dear for all you do...and how are you???Love G-Ma :o) Hugs & Peace
