Harry Potter Coloring Pages, Ideal for Winter

On this page is a list of the very best websites which feature free, printable Harry Potter Colouring Pages and Books. This is a perfect activity to do with children, especially during the long winter months and Christmas holidays.

My own daughter loves the free sheets that I print off for her and you can see an example of one on this page too. With very young children, this craft helps with hand and eye coordination and older children can focus on building up their art skills.

Having some HP supplies on hand is a great idea for cold and rainy days and also as a easy, quick and cheap activity you can enjoy together. Not just for parents. Perfect if you're a teacher, grandparent or an adult who looks after children.

For Pencils that don't need Sharpening!

As a parent, I love these particular brand of twistables coloring pencils because they don't need any sharpening - simply twist at the end when you need some more pencil lead. Easy for kids (and adults) to use.

These are vibrant shades and no need to sharpen. We love these and have a lot kept in stock. Perfect for travel because you don't need to worry about leads breaking and having a lot of pencils that can't be used.

Crafty Harry Potter Book

If you're having a Harry Potter birthday party and you're not sure where or how to start, here's a book that will make the party planning go much easier for you.

We love the Harry Potter coloring books range by Scholastic. There is also a party book is packed with plenty of ideas to ensure your party will be talked about (for all the right reasons) for many years to come. Lots of info on party favors, party games to play, crafts you can make and snacks to eat.

You can get a whole lot of rainy day activities from a book like this as well as using it as a resource for entertaining other kids too.

Make your Finished Pages Look Professional - Get a Range of Good Quality Pencils

Older children and adults will probably appreciate being able to use more professional pencils such as this Prismacolor set.

Prismacolors are well known as being really great quality for shading and blending with great vivid and rich tones to the end result. I am a bit of a collector of these pencils and I have yet to find anything I like to use better.

How about using glue and sequins?

colouring with sequins

colouring with sequins

There's loads of options for colouring in. My own daughter's favorite is to shade in pictures with glue and sprinkle sequins over the top. I hope you've enjoyed reading this hub today, thanks for your visit. Will you stick to the traditional pencils, felt tips or paints? Or will you be more adventurous with your sheets and opt for glitter, glue and tissue paper or making an unusual collage?

I like to draw carefully over the outlines with felt tips and then use softer pencils inside the lines. As a finishing touch, I use small bottles of glitter glue over the top to add in some extra sparkle.
