If you look closely at the photo of these hats, you can see that they all have a gathered finished top edge. This is accomplished by pulling the yarn through each loop on the loom and cinching it together. Some of the hats have a rolled brim, while others have a brim that has been folded under and hemmed, much like you hem clothes when sewing.
There is a hat there that has a unique look with small scraps of yarn poking out. This is intentional and is made using scraps of leftover yarn. To do this, push the end of the yarn through the hat to make the loose ends show.

arbranson@cox.net on December 13, 2015:
I want to buy just the single round loop with 36 pegs, but can't find a price for a single loom. The hats I make with looms I donate to the cancer patients at the local Hospital. Last year I added the fun fur and WOW, did they go for those. Makes the hats look so dressy for the ladies. Thanks for your help.

@webmavern: Great idea! I think the round looms are the easiest to start with.
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@anonymous: It isn't a "spam" page. It's the cricut homepage. They no longer carry Knifty Knitter products.
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@anonymous: Yes, It's very sad. :(
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@charlene-hamrickking: I recommend that you do not use a crochet cast off, but sew through instead. It's my experience that crocheting the edges prevents them from stretching as desired.
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@charlotte-hollandamodeo: The link for the mittens is work now. It's been updated.
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@jennifer-lynn-161446: Hi Jennifer,
Provo Craft used to have many of these patterns on their website, but when they stopped being a distributor of the looms, they removed the patterns. I am working hard to update all the pattern links, so you will be able to view them again. It is taking me a while to get it done. I appreciate your patience.
hsschulte (author) on February 23, 2014:
@sethandressen: Yes, I love making mittens. Thanks for visiting!

jennifer-lynn-161446 on January 13, 2014:
Why does every link take me to the Cricut page?
charlotte-hollandamodeo on December 08, 2013:
Link does not work for mittens - take you to circuit cutter instead.
charlene-hamrickking on November 10, 2013:
Would like to make leg warmers with mu Knifty Knitter. Any one have any suggestions on finishing the ends.
anonymous on September 12, 2013:
Provocraft no longer supports the Knifty Knitter patterns. They've done away with it to focus on cricut!
anonymous on August 07, 2013:
The links only take me to a cricut spam page
