Let's Crochet A Pretty Rose Potholder For December!
'Tis the holiday season! Here is a potholder just for "pretty," to crochet up in one color or a bouquet of colors to decorate your holiday kitchen. I belong to a monthly potholder exchange and designed this for my exchange partner, Carol.
These crochet up in no time at all in worsted weight yarn and are so much fun to work up!
Just imagine your friend's delight if she were to receive a gift of a set of these in her favorite colors! Do note that these are for decorative use only. Crochet away...
What You Will Need
Very small amounts of worsted weight yarn in three colors - one for the rose and border, one for the leaves, and one for the background. I suggest 100% cotton such as Peaches n' Cream or Bernat Handicrafter Cotton.

A Word About Yarn Selection...
It goes almost without saying that anything intended for use in the kitchen should be made of yarns that are machine washable and dryable. A good bet is 100% cotton such as Bernat Handicrafter Cotton or Peaches n' Cream yarn.

The rose potholder makes me think of my grandmother. She had the most beautiful crocheted potholders hanging on her kitchen wall. I need to go through my yard to see if I have the right colors and get started on one. Blessed.

Very pretty crocheted rose potholder. I love designs on potholders and decorative ones look lovely hanging as décor in the kitchen (I currently have 3 decorative potholders hanging together on my kitchen wall made by a fellow crafter for me!). :) I'm sure Carol loves this one you created for her.
