48 Awesome Bird and Bird Stuff Craft Ideas

Loraine loves arts and crafts and used to volunteer at an elementary art class. She loves sharing fun and easy craft tutorials.


For this article I started by searching for birdhouse crafts. I found that although there are a few birdhouse projects, with directions given on how to make them, there weren't enough to write an article on birdhouse crafts alone. So, I decided to add crafts on how to make birds. You'll notice that some of these craft projects have a distinctive modern look and would be a unique addition to the modern decorating style.

1. Golden Book Birdhouse

This Golden Book birdhouse would be such a cute nursery room item. A cute baby shower gift also.


2. Yarn Birds

I think this is an outstanding project. Who would have ever believed that you could make beautiful birds like these using yarn. You'll find the pictured instructions for making these birds at the Marrieta site.


3. Tin Can Feeders

4. Flower Pot Bird Bath

5. Egg Carton Bird Feeder

For a really simple bird feeder that the kids can make and enjoy watching the birds come to feed, you'll want to visit the Ginger Snap Crafts site.


6. Nest and Bird

Imagine using cupcake papers to make little birds.....what a great idea. And how cute they are. This pre-school and little kid art project has instructions given at parents .

9. Felt Birds

Your sculpted bird is nice, but your directions to get instructions is less than working. I went to the link, there are 3000 video, non that are for sculpted birds, paper mache, or diy. Could you please put an actual link to the instructions, or, the name of the video. Thank you.

When I was a kid, we used to make bird feeders out of plastic gallon milk jugs. Things have gotten a lot more creative (and more beutiful) since then!
