Easy Baby Beanie Crochet Patterns Ideal for Beginners

Nothing is more delightful than these Free crochet Patterns for Baby Hats. I am addicted to creating these gorgeous Beanies! They are not only so easy to make, but as a beginner crocheter, these basic patterns have taught me so much. And you will be surprised how easy you can add in finishing touches to make these ones of a kind. I will include more patterns as I find and make them (all free of course) and hope you get as much fun out of making them as I do. Handmade Baby crochet items are becoming very popular, and so the demand is rising, I honestly cannot make them quick enough for my friends and family, so thankfully these beanie patterns whip up in an hour.

I will also include patterns for hats made using Single crochet (SC) Double Crochet (DC) Half Double Crochet (HDC) I will also show you how to create great fashionable baby hats from the simple beanie pattern, also included crochet flower patterns, that are so easy to make but just add that touch of flair to any of your own homemade hats.

****Please note that this page is a continuous work in progress, and more patterns and hats will be added to as I make them****

Filomena Lewis on January 08, 2019:

I think it was really kind of you to give us a beanie hat for babies. I always get a project that I like. This is one of them. The hospitals always put hats on new born babies. I will use this pattern and donate them to a hosiptal.

Diana on February 18, 2017:

I have used your baby hat with Pom Pom many times. It had the front post/back post work on the border. I cannot find it. Could I get it somehow? My all-time favorite. I make hats for all the babies in our church (large church)
