How To Crochet A Toy Detective Hat: Free Pattern!
All Things Have A Purpose.
I crocheted a Perry the Platypus for my best friend for Christmas. But Perry is only a regular platypus without his hat! This is what I came up with. I improvised as I went, and this was written down by memory. Let me know if you find any mistakes!

Thanks, Stephanie! Following crochet lingo definitely takes practice. If there's any way I can help, let me know! Good luck!

This is such a cute idea. I am not good with following crocheting directions, mainly because I learned only one stitch from my mom and learned by doing basic blankets. There is not much help for us lefties. But I think I will give this a try. I am definitely bookmarking.

Thanks! =D It definitely is. It does has half double, double, and treble crochet stitches in there, but they're only a couple! If you try out the pattern, let me know how it goes!
