Credo of the Artist
"What do I want to do most of all? To draw... In contrast, I was always said: ' Jenia, you will never get through any place. Who need your fantasies, your miracles. It's necessary to raise acute themes, i.e. life, real and day-to-day. You, with your enchantment, will remain without an exhibition. The Association (of Painters) will never meet you.' What can I argue?
Of course, the question about the Association had been suspending for a long time, due to different causes. Besides, I would say: to be realist doesn't mean to imitate images of real life. In contrast, to imitate its activity, to feel and send its interior rhyme of events. It seems to me creative activities not to be an arithmetic sum. It is the common answer on the main question, that stands before the painter with his time, his environment, his love. How to answer is his own matter.”
Yevgen explains and smiles:” It is a stereotype that only women can draw flowers. In world practice we see many famous artists that reflected Nature. I am blamed in fabulous brightness. In contrast, stand any alive flower near my paintings, it will be brighter than they are. I think about my every centimeter. This is mosaics that opalescent with different colors.”
Sensation of Volume
The result of his excellence is an original sensation of volume. Just it permits him to work in different techniques. Yevgen fills all volume, in doing so images are connected and interconnected smoothly. Like an endless symphony rich in melodies, where the main theme has various shades, his style absorbs as lyrical realism as geometrical abstraction with elements of expressionism and dreams. This is a polyphonic vision of Yevgen in Ukraine with its landscapes, legends, myths through original biological phenomena.

Power of Unity
Dreams of the Cat
After reaching the maximal saturation of the color, Yevgen sets fondly not only the composite center of his paintings, but all details of the second plan, every bud, leaf, and insect... All subjects are in balance and static. There is no non-marked centimeter on his works, sometimes enormous. He thinks:” In a series of paintings some flowers don't exist in Nature. I make up them myself, creating a certain symbiosis, new forms. In contrast, you can see well realistic plants, as in Joy of Blooming. Sometimes paradoxes happened when a tiny personage, for example butterfly, may become gigantic. My style Paradise Art started to compose with the Running Reveries. More meaningful in this plan is the World of the Cat.”
Edem for the Cat
Thanks to American critics Ye.Leschenko was named as the founder of Paradise Art.
It's very difficult to determine the place of unusual and not-ordinary artist in the modern artistic process. In the creative activities of Yevgen Leschenko we can observe elements of folk decorating painting, influence of magic realism. You will add animal magnetism and principles of nihilistic images. These ideas and different techniques found a new miracle -Paradise art in the vision of this painter. Also, no doubt, he continues traditions of Ukrainian artists such as lyrical and philosophical symbolism of Katerina Bilokur, naive painting of Maria Primatchenko and Hanna Sobatchko-Shostak.
