Help the kids explore all aspects of the season with these Spring Craft Ideas. It's a great way to while away a rainy afternoon or even a sunny one. You don't need any specialist supplies, just things you probably already have around your house such as paper and paint. Show them that a rainy day can be fun with this piece of art. Cut out a triangle from glitter yellow card to make the raincoat and stick this onto white paper. You can cut out an umbrella shape from paper and boots to add to the scene and paint them accordingly. Once it is all assembled, paint big blue raindrops over it and add a silver cloud.

Kids love texture so help them to make this multimedia cloud. You will cut out a cloud shape from blue paper and then help them to stick cotton balls onto this. Once dry you can stick it to a Popsicle stick and they can use this as a prop for story telling or whatever other play activity they want.

Make a fun butterfly snack to brighten up their lunch. You'll need plastic sandwich bags, and a clothes peg and pipe cleaners. Fill one half of the bag with little crackers and the other with grapes. Divide it in half with a clothes peg and add butterfly features.

Make colorful flowers with Popsicle sticks, pom poms, cupcake wrappers, and construction paper. Begin by sticking yellow paper into cupcake wrappers and then stick different colored pom poms onto this. Then trace this onto colored card to make your petals which it will then be stuck onto.

Make a fun rain cloud craft with white paper, blue plastic and blue paper. Cut out a cloud shape from white paper. Then cut out squares in blue to stick onto this.
