Logo Maker Apps: Tips to Do More out of It

Author:

As a computer technician, he used and practiced many applications that helped and contributed to the success of his projects and works.

Logo Designing Software

As a freelance artist, you may spot some entries with the same backgrounds and theme from other bidders. Those were made with some logo maker apps available at Play Store and other sites. Why do others tend to rely on apps like that while there is so much more when you make your own design? Is it worth trying? Well, yes! But still there were disadvantages in using such app. I have tried some logo maker apps and found some downside and also some things to use it creatively.

Logo maker apps were applications built for the purpose of designing logos while you can make some label and icons too. There are lots of feature to try when making a logo, and even vary from app to app. Most of these applications works with a layer-by-layer formatting and editing from texts, images and backgrounds. It will be a great help for those who had no experience in Photoshop and Illustrator or similar software. Logo maker apps has tons of images and background features that the only thing you need to do is pick and place the things you want, do some size adjustments and alignments, choose your colors and then you have it, your own customized logo.

The Downside

The app really looks awesome and cool but, it hinders or rather keeps you from being much more creative and unique. With those built-in templates and images, even though there were millions of users making logos, there will be a definite similarity or almost the same detail with other outputs. You will find such things when you bid for a contest in some freelancing sites where clients order a logo design and gives some description. You will notice that some entries are of the same mock-up backgrounds while some have almost similar structures. Unfortunately, you will encounter some entries that truly is great but does not follow the description of the client. It happens because of limited resources in the app, unlike when you are using some digital and graphic designing software like Photoshop and Illustrator wherein your imagination is the limit.

Expand and Learn More

Having said those things above, I am not discouraging you from using those helpful apps but instead, try to expand your resources and skills.

Learn some photo and image editing apps.

Though it will take a while to master the software, some basic features and tools can help you. There were lots of tutorials regarding those apps nowadays and all you need to do is install the software on your PC and read or watch some tutorials. You will learn some more tricks as you go and will be able to use the app perfectly in no time.

Try Some Combinations

It’s true that in a logo maker app, you have limited resources. With some apps and tricks, you can expand your inventory of images and be limitless as long as you stay creative. You can try to create images on your own with apps like Autodesk Sketchbook Pro which is available for Android and Windows. You can also try some apps like Corel Draw and Inkscape. Given that some logo maker apps were layer-by-layer editing, it is better to make images in PNG format with transparent background. Friendly Reminder, Pal

Some clients find it generic, so you have to use those logo maker apps uniquely and creatively. There will be times that your work will be rejected but don’t stop there. We have millions of clients worldwide and our chances of being awarded is not zero.
