The Angry Yellow Bird drawing project.
If you want to compete this project successfully then you will need a few tools in order to be able to carry it out. You will need some paper and a pencils to at least start off with, some computer printing paper will be fine but any paper will do really. I would advise using a soft graphite pencil if you have one, something like a 2B or a 3B would be ideal for me because this grade would allow me to draw light lines that will not damage the paper as I would not need to press very hard to make those lines. This will make it so much easier to remove them later when tidying up the drawing.
You will also need an eraser and an assortment of colored marker pens. Ideally a Blue, red, yellow, orange, green, and black. You will also need two different red colors and two different green colors as well for other versions of the Angry Birds because presumably you don't just want to draw just the one.
Video showing how to draw a Yellow Angry bird.
The body shape for the Yellow Angry Bird is a basic triangle shape.
To start out with draw a triangle on your paper this is just a basic triangle where all three sudes are the same size. Make sure it is not too big on your paper because you will need a little room for the birds tail.

Using the triangle to create the birds body shape.
If you look at the image above you will notice that the body shape has rounded corners and the side as well as the bottom are slightly curved outward making it bulge out a little. Using your triangle now draw in these areas of rounded corners, curved sides and bottom.

Erasing unwanted lines from the body shape.
When you are happy that you have drawn the outline for your Angry Birds body shape you can now remove the lines used to draw your original triangle shape. If you have drawn these lightly then you should not have any problem removing them completely from your drawing. Take a look at the image above because this is what your drawing should now look like.

Drawing the curved line that represents the birds belly.
The distance from the bottom of the body shape to the horizontal area of the line at the top of the belly is about one eighth of the overall size from the bottom of the body shape to the tip of the triangle shape. Work this out and place a dot where you think it should go. Then you will find that the line starts on the left hand side about one quarter of the whole width of the birds body at the bottom.
If you find the half way point then it is much easier to then find the halfway point between that distance making one quarter, place a dot there. The on the other right hand side work out where the lines starts and place another dot there with your pencil. Now draw your curved line by drawing towards the dots as these will help you to draw this line accurately.

Drawing the eyes.
You will notice that one eye is larger than the other and that this eye is about central to the birds overall body area. The other eye which is smaller is very close to the right hand side of the body outline. Because this larger eye is in the center then that will make it easier to place it and the top line of the eye is just below the center from top to bottom of the birds body area. The eye its self is just a little bigger than the width of the belly area from top to bottom. The other eye which is smaller is about four fifths in size of the larger eye and lines up along the horizontal plane with the larger eye.
Two eyes one bigger than the other.
Pupils looking to the right.
The pupils are both closer to the right hand side of the eyes as though they are looking to the right. One is larger than the other corresponding with the difference in size of the eyes them selves.
Yellow Birds pupils.
Yellow Birds eyebrows.
The eyebrows of the Yellow Angry Bird are long rectangle shapes they start just a little bit past the eyes from the center and extend to about twice the width of the corresponding eye in the other direction. They are about two times wider than the eyes themselves and the right eyebrow extends past the body outline which lines up on the vertical plane with the bottom corner of the birds body.

The beak for the Yellow Angry Bird.
Drawing the beak of the Yellow Bird is first lined up between the eyes at the top and the bottom section line up almost directly below it but slightly to the right. The left hand side of the beak where the top half and the bottom half meet together lines up vertically with the pupil of the eye above it. Horizontally it lines up about half way between the the eye and the birds belly, the other end which is the tip lines up vertically with the end of the birds belly below. If you place dot in all these places it will help you to draw your lines bore accurately and is almost just a case of joining up the dots.

Birds plumage and tail.
The birds plumage on the top of his head is again best drawn by first making dots where everything should go. The first dot marking out the first pointy section of the plumage to the right is lined up vertically with the center of the pointy bit at the top of the head. It is the same distance in height as the birds beak from top to bottom between the eyes. The next point about the same distance as this but going or pointing to the left at a ninety degree angle from the first point. The bottom pointy bit lines up with the top of the head and the middle one is just below half way from the top and bottom.
The part of the tail that joins to the bids body lines up horizontally with the birds left eye and is about the same size between the top line and the bottom line. The first pointy bit lines up horizontally with the eyebrow over the left eye and the second pointy bit is just a little bit higher. The distance of the pointy bit from the birds body is about the same as the length of the eyebrow over the left eye and the last pointy bit is almost directly below it.

Cleaning out unwanted lines.
Removing unwanted lines.
There are lines where the eye balls overlap into the birds eyebrows the need removing with an eraser as well as a line from the right eye ball that over laps into the birds beak. There is also a line from the birds belly area that overlaps into the birds beak that needs removing and cleaning up.
Drawing the outlines in black.
All you need to do now is draw over your lines with a black marker pen to make them more prominent and like the Angry Birds you seen in the game. This also gives you a chance to make any final corrections to your drawing and hide any marks that you don't want showing. The black marker pen will also make it more difficult to go over the line when coloring your bird in making it look neater.

This is fun! I'm not good at drawing, but made me realize that it's actually easy to draw the yellow Angry Bird. Hope you could also come up with other Angry Birds. Thanks for sharing :D
