The Drawing
Drawing Spongebob Squarepants Part 1
Want to impress your kids by teaching them how to draw their favorite character Spongebob Squarepants? Just follow my guide and I will teach you. The hardest part about drawing freestyle is making sure that everything is to scale and that nothing is too big or too small. With Spongebob there is another challenge of drawing his wavy body. It can take quite a bit of time to get it to look just right. I will show you how to draw the first positions of Spongebob in a regular stance. in another hub I will show you how to draw him in an excited pose.
Steps 1-8
Steps 1-8
Step 1: First is to draw one circle for the eye, then to the left of it draw another circle attached. In the right eye, draw a small circle towards the left and then a black pupil in the middle of that. In the left eye, draw a small circle towards the right of the eye and then a black pupil in the center. After that is done. Add 3 small eyelashes abover each eye.
Step 2: For the nose, start just under the eyes in the middle, then draw a curved line slightly up to the left and then curved back down to the starting point. The cheeks are like two C's on each side of the eyes.
Step 3: Erase any overlapping lines from step 2. Then add 3 freckles in each cheek in the shape of a triangle.
Step 4: The mouth starts at the right cheek and curve under to the bottom of the other cheek. The teeth are like two rectangles hanging down but slightly rounded at the bottom. The chin is basically two connecting curves underneath the teeth.
Step 5: For right now just draw a square body shape around his face. And a part of his side. Will will make is waving later on.
Step 6: It's easy to add his shirt and shorts. Just draw another square firgure parallel to his body. Then draw a line to split it into two halves. The upper will be slightly smaller then the lower half.
Step 7: For the shirt collar just draw a downward triangle in the middle. Then a diamont tie shape underneath that connecting at the tips. On each side draw a rounded triangle shape.
Step 8: The belt on his shorts are just basically rectangle blocks. Draw two on each side of the tie. Draw a half a block on one side of the tie connecting with the tie and on the other side draw another half. So it looks like a belt loop in underneath the tie. Then on the his side also draw a belt loop but keep it parallel to his shorts, that means do it at the same angle his shorts are at.
Steps 9-14
Steps 15-20
Steps 15-20
Step 15: Repeat steps 13 and 14
Step 16: Repeat step 15
Step 17: Add the wavy border above his shorts.
Step 18: To add his pores its very simple. Where I have drawn the various sizes is where you should draw them at the same sizes.
Step 19: makes any necessary corrections to him. His teeth, his mouth, his cheeks, his arms, his legs. Try to make it look like the picture.
Step 20: You are now finished and can show your children or whoever wants to see. Congrats!
