The First steps in drawing and how to have incentive to do the things you love
When i first started drawing like many people i started as a child drawing doodles i never pursued it after elementary school until about my sophomore or junior year of high school. So i started a bit late but i guess it makes sense because when living in stressful environment it is hard for an artist to concentrate on his work.
A stressful childhood can be the problem for so many people even in seemingly good environment such as living in a house and having food to eat. though if our relationships with the people we know are bad then our life will be bad and one person can't change everything around them I find it better to ignore the problem though like a sickness it may come back when you least expect it.
So to further rid yourself of the sickness of other peoples hatred and cruelty is to find a passion you enjoy also to not show love for the things you treasure as people will not be able to see that weakness of yours to exploit. I guess it kinda makes a person like a superhero having duel identities to protect the things and people we treasure in our real lives.
And anyone who knows me knows i love superheroes and they are big part in why i love to draw and write stories of a fantastical nature to escape the dull and boring consequences of ordinary living. Thus you can guess that many of teachers in art don't even know who i am since we've never met i just watch and read what they put out there for me to learn as well as everyone else with the access.
Giving Form to your Drawings and Character as well as giving yourself definition
Defining Your Art
There are several question that can guide you to what art style you will enjoy most an example would be how do you see things as bright and colorful as horrifying and dark as grey and dreary there is no right answer to this question and there are many more answers so figure out what that answer is before you start drawing so you can better define your own art style.
Some examples of art styles and their mood are realism which is the historical type of painting that you'll see all over museums either being portraits of important figureheads or epic battle scenes. This is usually done in oil paint to give the painting for visual depth to imitate human skin which is very oily in nature. Realism can also be done with pencils as edges can be easier to define with a pencil though light strokes are best for a realistic look.
Harder edges in a art piece is more associated with impressionism which varies in its own levels realism.

Helpful hints in drawing what you see
If you like the way something looks since most of you probably don't have photographic memory, get a picture of it so you can then draw it for yourself then practice drawing it this helps to better remember what it looks like. Also you can use that to make your own original art by mixing it with other art styles to then make your own art more original.
Have many passions
Do more than one thing
Sure drawing is great, if your passionate about it but it may keep your life feeling empty with only one passion consider other hobbies or possible careers because even if your love drawing being good and learned in other interests may just make your passion and ability to express you passion all the better. Take music for example sure sight is important but sound is just as important if not more music can change the way people think about thinks if used in the right context

- If you are going to college or are in high school then make sure to take art class early so you can reach more advanced levels before you graduate
- Make sure to find a good teacher as well but since there are many of them try and find more than one even if you really like one more than the rest, as this will help you develop your own original style
- If your not in school, home schooled, or you are on summer brake then try searching for video tutorials in youtube to help further your artistic abilities. There are a lot of teachers on the internet you can learn from and may give you more precise tutorials on what you want to learn to draw so it may be preferred to regular schooling.
