A 30-Minute Earring to Crochet
Circle Earring No. 6 is so simple and quick you could make lots of it in an hour. Because its so light, adding a few beads will make it move with you.
This beautiful earrings were born out of a need. I needed something simple yet elegant as a beginner project when I first volunteered to teach crochet. This earrings marks a special milestone in my crocheted life.
It's been over a year since I last added to this series of earrings. Although this motif is not as stunning as her sisters, her innocence will surely win you over.

- 30-Minute Earrings to Crochet - A Collection of Free Crochet Motif Patterns
This pattern is part of a series of lacy crochet earrings. Complete information about the MATERIALS and TOOLS, as well as the ASSEMBLY and FINISHING of these earrings can be found on this hub.
Motif only: 3.5 cm
- chain (ch), slip stitch (slst) and double crochet (dc) only
- working in rounds
- a little skill with the pliers and beads
Is this for beginners?
For most of the earrings in this series, I used 3 strands of ordinary sewing thread.
All preceding patterns used 1.00 mm hook, but I crocheted this one using a 2.00-mm hook.
Tapestry needle is required to hide the loose ends.
Long-nose pliers were also required to work with the fish hook and beads.
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
dc - double crochet
Ch 5, sl st into a ring.
Round 1: (Ch 5, sl st into ring) 6x, ch 2, dc in ring. TURN
Round 2: (Ch 5, sl st into next ch space) 6x, ch 2, dc in next ch space. TURN.
Round 3: (Ch 3, sl st n same ch space, ch 5, sl st into next ch space) 7x.
Break off and eave in loose ends.
Note on Assembly
Since No.6 is very light, it must finished (see Cover Hub) first.
Then the fish hook and beads can be added once the motif is already hard.

You're missing a lot! Its so fun to wear crocheted earrings, especially when they start asking "Where did you get that?"
Helena Reimer on July 30, 2013:
I don't have pierced ears, but every time I see crocheted earrings it makes me want to get them done just so I can crochet some for myself. :)
