I Love Comments!!!

Yes, knittinggirl23. You can starch these, too.

I combined the three strands as one to make these pair.

I hope this helps. :-)

knittinggirl23 on May 06, 2014:

Also, forgot to mention did you make these earrings with 3 stands of thread? You listed you used 3 colors so, I guess I am wondering if you made 3 seperate earrings in the colors listed or did you combind the colors and use as a single strand? I had some difficulty tell from the picture. Thanks!

knittinggirl23 on May 06, 2014:

Can you starch these instead of using glue?

Hello Christine! I used 1.00 mm steel hook for this. Thanks for leaving a comment. ",)

Moira Durano-Abesmo (author) from Sagay, Camiguin, Philippines on January 29, 2012:

Hi agreenworld!

I agree they are absolutely beautiful.

Easy to clean? I can't be sure. I've had them for just about a month and so far only flood had devastated them.

When soaked in water, I found that the glue liquefies again. I cleaned them in with water and hanged it to dry again.

The motif was fine but the fish hook, being not stainless, rusted and tainted the motif.

That was the only downside I've encountered so far.

Moira Durano-Abesmo (author) from Sagay, Camiguin, Philippines on January 29, 2012:

Hi Patrice! It does not take a lot of glue and it doesn't take long to dry it. Less than hour would be enough.

I am still in the process of perfecting the "stiffening" part. I will update the cover hub as soon as I have some wonderful result.

I hope your daughter still have those fish hooks (earring thingies).

:-)

These earrings are absolutely beautiful! Are they easy to clean? I may just make a concerted effort to make them. Wonderful talent! Thank you for the article.

PWalker281 on January 28, 2012:

Ooooo ... these are really lovely? I wonder if my daughter, who used to make jewelry, has some of those earring thingies in her stash. But I still need glue to stiffen them. Hope to give these a try soon.

Rated up and (lovely) and useful!
