No-Knots Adjustable Front Closure Crochet Bra

Moira has been crocheting since she was 14 years old. She loves experimenting with small crochet projects.

Most crochet bras use knots to make them adjustable. I dislike them because I feel like they'd come off anytime. Aside from that, they leave tension marks when worn for a long period of time.

I am also a fan of bras that can be secured from the front.

Because of these, I endeavored to design a crochet bra that is adjustable (NOT with knots) and can be closed from the front.

Pattern Notes

Major Parts

This design has three (3) major parts, namely:

  1. Bra pads (2)
  2. Lace trimming connecting the bra pads: and
  3. Straps on the shoulders and around the body

Controlling the Stretch

Some part of the lace trimming is worked in tight tension using a smaller hook size to "lock" the give of the fabric. This is to avoid hole-y crochet fabric which happens when it becomes over stretched.

Yarn Thickness

The bra pad and straps are crocheted in double pull, meaning two strands of yarn. The lace trimming is crocheted in single pull for a softer effect. However, this is not necessary. It is simply a personal preference.
