Kitty Cat Kisses

Always a furbaby in the house, if not a few. Well trained, good humored, funny creatures, and good for a snuggle. Sometimes they are, too.

Aaawww. Aren't I cute?

My Cat Kitty Kisses

With the title of this page, you might think this Kitty kisses us a lot. Nope!

Being the princess that most female cats are, should she deign to bestow us with smooches, it's unlikely that she would dare to do so with a camera in sight. That would surely betray her society standing to her other feline friends.

The reason I used "Kisses" in the title has to do with her early life prior to her attained knowledge of upstanding cat behavior. I'll touch more on this aspect of her upbringing below.

This little person tastes pretty good. Sugar and Spice?

This little person tastes pretty good. Sugar and Spice?

Kitty Kisses sez "Maybe just this once...

I'll be a Huggie."

When picked up as a kitten, my daughter couldn't settle on a name, so the temporary name "Kitty" was used. A little later "Kitty " was renamed "Kisses" because of the licking of sometimes a face, but mostly the hands. But the name was given little too late, so Kitty was the first named blurted out when needed.

Kitty moved out into an apartment when our daughter did. Then there was the unfortunate window blind incident (destroyed) and a spotting which brought up the misunderstanding regarding the apartment complexes pets policy (oh, really?), so the cat moved back in with me and my husband. (That's my granddaughter in the picture)

Since then we have become the family Pet Rescue. We also adopted Rascal from a family member when he ate the drywall off a newly installed wall.

We are drawing a line at any more pet drop-offs. We now have a cat and a dog so... We're closed. :D

I'm not telling.

I'm not telling.

Super Kitty!

I have no idea how she did that!

At 6 months old we would often find her balancing on the top of doors. We never saw how she got up or down. There was never any damage to give us an idea of her path.

I hazard a guess that she was not able to fly. It might have something to do with her lack of visible wings.

Does she look about to leap? Kowabunga!

She did, however, wait well after I left the room to take her flight.

Kitty Kisses' first unwilling playmate - Our very old Shiba Inu known as Choo

Choo was supposed to be the last of our "intentional" pets.

It's Happy Hour!

Like most cats, she is very happy to occupy any box, bag, hidey hole or what ever she can find.

She is partial to these cardboard 12 pack beer cartons.

Not only do they fit her nicely, they also have well-placed arm holes, and come in this lovely shade of blue.

Kitty Kisses play time!

Yup, her most fun comes from torturing the dog. But it is a shared love/hate relationship. If either one gets bored, it doesn't take much of an effort to activate an exhilarating challenge match.

On the flip side, the cat will knock around the dog's aluminum bowl when she thinks he's hungry. He'll bark at the sliding glass door when she's waiting to come in. Go figure.

Just stay right here... and please, ignore the tail this time.

Kitty Kisses will rub against anything that doesn't move...

Kitty Kisses Favorite Work Out

Especially with the added bonus of Catnip

And this Kitty is crazy about Catnip.

Absolutely off-the-wall psychotic. :D

I really need to take a video of this spectacluar spectacle, but will a lame slide show do?

Kitty Cat Kisses stars in her own Slideshow Video! - Forgive me? Her Highness deserves a better camera person.

Just a little Loopy, and ringing the Dinner bell... - sort of.

Back off, Rascal!

This would be the start of a roust-a-bout tournament.

Just a sniff to start...

Do you have an Indoor or Outdoor Cat?

Sorry to Say Comments are No Longer Available, but These were the Reader Answers Shared for Outdoor Cats.

Stephen J Parkin: We had Robin the Barn Kitten, but unfortunately he went missing last August and we have not seen him since.

BW Duerr: Kitty Kisses is an outdoor cat. Originally intended to be inside only, but she, like Whitepine's cat she will do anything to get outside. Numerous window screens and window binds have been destroyed in her attempts to do what comes natural for her. She's a #1 mouser, but luckily stays away from birds and other small animals. Even the neighbors appreciate her services. :D

whitepines1: I have an outdoor cat, but not by choice. She was originally my neighbor's outdoor cat and no one took her after he died. I quickly discovered that she was quite willing to tear the house apart to get back out, so I gave in and let her out.

Readers Answers for Inside Only Cats a.k.a. (mostly) Happy Homebodies

PizmoBeach LM: We have 3 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat so I have decided we are an indoor cat family (although I wouldn't say we are Happy Homebodies). The three indoor cats (Trinity, Neo and Hiro) are all super keen to go outside but hate it when they are outside. Our outdoor cat, Senna has always loved the outdoors.

JoyfulPamela2: Sebastian loves to sit on our dining room window ledge to look out at the little critters, but if we try to take him outside, he turns into a "fraidy cat" and won't go!

anonymous: Missy is an outdoor cat wanna-be. She sits on top of the couch and stares out the window watching the birds and squirrels.

BuckHawkcenter: Since I have multiple cats, I would like to say "Both", but, alas, not an option. Most of my cats are indoor, and happy to be so. Therefore its Happy Homebody.

Kitty Kisses loves Halloween and Fall time

The likeness is okay, but I'm really waiting for the leaves to drop.

Yeah? Who sez?

Yeah? Who sez?

What doesn't belong?

I don't think I need to provide a clue.

Do I?

Thank goodness it's only up for a few weeks during the holiday season.

Besides being a perch to look about the room, and out the window on the opposite side, it has lots of cool new toys hanging from it.

"Maybe I can get that silly dog to eat one. He always leaves pieces laying about, so he's sure to really get it. HA! Crate-time means quiet."

Aaaww... Cute Cats - "But not as cute as me." My granddaughter demanded this video be on Kisses' page

Shopping? Who cares... - just give me the bag!

"I am not upside down. You are."

She's ready for her Closeup... - but just a little too close. (Photo taken by my granddaughter)

and lastly, At Work

While I'm writing

I don't mind it a long as she's not:

Biting my earrings.

Stretching her claws

Trying to sleep on the keyboard.

Trying to catch the warmth from the overheat fan. Maybe "blocking" is most accurate.

Playing with the "mouse". :D She actually likes to disable the poor thing by knocking it off the table to make the mouse pop out it's wireless innards (batteries).

Aahh. My work is done.

Robin was very similar to Kitty Kisses. We are hoping he has just been taken in by a neighbor who found him as irresistible as we did!
