The Chinese Crested may not be for everyone - but perhaps it's the right dog for you!
The Chinese Crested is unique and appreciated by those with a taste for the exotic. Cresteds tend to be sturdy toy dogs, with an elegance and style all their own. Both the Hairless and Powderpuff Cresteds require special grooming, but devotees of the Crested believe that it's time wonderfully spent!
The AKC Standard for the Crested description: "A toy dog, fine-boned, elegant and graceful. The distinct varieties are born in the same litter. The Hairless with hair only on the head, tail and feet and the Powderpuff, completely covered with hair. The breed serves as a loving companion, playful and entertaining. "
Here at Golly Gear we know that Chinese Cresteds are great dogs - with some special requirements. Our staff will be delighted to help you find just the right stuff for your Crested!
Microfiber Step-in Harness
One of the most important considerations when purchasing a harness for a Crestie is softness. The Microfiber Step-in Harness is one of the softest we've found. Designed with sleek European style, this harness is easy to use, washable, and soft from the start.
The EZHarness Set is the answer to your prayers! It's a padded step-in harness that's easily and infinitely (well, almost) adjustable. The harness is padded, with felt toward your pup, and shaped for your little dog's comfort. Plus, the 4-foot leash is attached so you won't be fumbling with clasps, snaps and collar rings. The leash is on a swivel, so your little dog won't get tangled up!

Ultrasuede Bailey Jacket
The Bailey Jacket from Susan Lanci is practical and elegant. The material is divine; butter-soft Ultrasuede. The colors are rich and beautiful. The design is really practical - the jacket's design takes all leash pressure off the dog's throat and neck and distributes it evenly across the shoulders and chest. Even the hardware for attaching the leash is elegant, black matte. But the overwhelming reason to get a Bailey Jacket is because it's just adorable.
The Vest Harness will assure your dog's comfort and safety on the road. The VestHarness is a versatile walking harness that doubles as a car seat belt harness! Plush lining provides great protection for your small dog's chest. The straps on both sides of the tummy piece are adjustable, and there are side release clasps on both sides. Just open one side, slip the VestHarness over your little dog's head, put one paw through the opening and fasten the clasp.

The fleece padded harness is a great idea!

@anonymous: We usually recommend harnesses for small dogs because they are prone to problems with "collapsing trachea." The very soft harnesses I've shown on this page aren't quite as crucial for a Powderpuff as they would be for a hairless. If you'd like specific recommendations, please do submit a "Harness Picker Questionnaire" - http://www.gollygear.com/harnessform.htm
