World Chimpanzee Day
Each year we celebrate World Chimpanzee Day on July 14th. This particular day was chosen to celebrate and think about our closest relative as on this day in 1960 was when Dr. Jane Goodall arrived in Gombe National Park.
I have been lucky enough to have worked very closely with a number of Chimpanzees and so appreciated their individuality whilst at the same time recognising their similarities to ourselves. Some of my best friends were Chimpanzees.
We need to do our best to protect the creatures with which we share our planet. They are not destroying it.
