The Zoo Hubs
Peter is an independent international zoo consultant, critic and writer with over 50 years work within zoos.
A Table of Contents
This Hub has been created to make it a touch easier for myself and others to find my Zoo Related Hubs. Zoos are my main interest and the subject I have written most about. I observe, am critical and voice opinion. I hope to educate people particularly those who are taken in by those zoos and people who are promoting lies.
The table of content is not complete as it will be added to and divided and split in the coming months as I write new hubs and complete those already started.
You can learn more of zoos by visiting the Zoo News Digest Blog

@suzettenaples - Thank you. Regrettably I have only been to the US once....for a day....and visited only one zoo. Perhaps when I win the lottery I will visit more.
Suzette Walker from Taos, NM on September 02, 2011:
WOW! You really are a zoo enthusiast! Have you visited the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Columbus, OH? Jack Hanna is the director emeritus there. It is a beautiful zoo and they take such good care of the animals.
celeBritys4africA from Las Vegas, NV on August 12, 2011:
So many beautiful animals.
Peter Dickinson (author) from South East Asia on August 09, 2011:
@Amy Ka - Yes I have visited the Tamao Zoo in Takeo province. Actually divided into two with an excellent rescue facility. The zoo was a bit rough but certainly more caring than the three I have written about up to now.
Amy Ka from Phnom Penh on August 09, 2011:
Among all these zoos you are listing, I knew only one place "Teuk Chhou" in Kampot province where I come from. And you are better than me have found another wonderful 3 places in Siem Reap and Koh Kong province.
There is another one which is popular "Tamao Zoon", have you heard of this? It is located in Takeo province in Cambodia.
Beautiful hub!

Autumn Lynn - I would love to return and look around. I can't afford it though. Life on the road is tough at times.
Autumn Lynn from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on November 26, 2010:
Impressive! You are a wealth of information. I look forward to checking out many of these hubs. You need to come back and look around some more of the zoos in the UAE.

Good luck with the project Betty. I have scarcely scratched the surface yet. I enjoy writing. I enjoy zoos. It makes sense.
Betty Reid from Texas on November 24, 2009:
That's a lot of hubs! I am planning to focus on museums, so it's inspiring to see someone write so many hubs about a single topic.
Peter Dickinson (author) from South East Asia on November 22, 2009:
Thanks Dohn - I hope it does prove to be useful to others. I know it will be to me.
Cindy - Thank you. So many pictures to choose from but I especially liked these. Enjoy your virtual visits...though I admit to being critical of most.
AEvans - I have not even really started on my zoo visit hubs yet. A long way to go. Thanks for stopping by.
Julianna from SomeWhere Out There on November 22, 2009:
I honestly did not realize there were so many zoos in our World and I loved the pics thanks for the list! :)
Cindy Letchworth from Midwest, U.S.A. on November 22, 2009:
Love the pictures in this hub. I think it's wonderful that you've made this list. I will most likely never see these zoos but I wish I could. Now that you've made this list, I can visit virtually from here on out. Thanks.
dohn121 from Hudson Valley, New York on November 22, 2009:
Wow, Peter. Your collection of Zoo hubs is impressive! You are without a doubt, the the Zoo Guru! I should know--I read almost all of them! I was thinking about doing a hub directory just like you did here on a couple of my hub categories, such as my short stories. Thank you for writing this. I'm sure many of your readers will find it very helpful.
