The title is a rhetorical question, one which sadly much of Christendom in America bought hook, line and sinker during the faux pandemic. A little scare tactic as compared to the persecution our forefathers suffered, as many cowered in their homes hoping for the return of the status quo.
Being religious has become the opiate of the masses within Christendom, as outward appearances are needed to mask the emptiness of their souls. The benefits of being found religious are numerous as it pertains to the life in the here and now but ends by being joined to the wicked in judgment.
A current phenomenon within Christendom today is that a seemingly large portion of church goers have a greater fear of needing to be right as opposed to the consequences should they be wrong. They are confident they know what they need to hear while turning a deaf ear to biblical reasoning.
Imagine a world where millions are starving to death yet are unaware of their plight. They look around and do not see themselves as being in dire straits, for they are in the majority of those satisfied with their lives in the here and now. Welcome to the world of Christendom 2022.
There is furor raging within Christendom concerning whether a person can lose their salvation. So many denominations and cults have based their theologies upon the idea that one’s salvation is tenuous should one falter in following their church’s standards for obedience and godliness.
The ‘many’ within Christendom do not have a clue that there is a world or should I say an eternity of difference between the fear of God and the fear of death. One is the path to everlasting life, whereas the other path ends in the Lake of Fire. It is not semantics; it is life or death … forever.
We live in an age of those who thrive upon taking a risk by pushing the envelope of cheating death with very dangerous exploits. This is a form of escapism; the thrill of being able to cheat death gives them an emotional drug that when they face their personal physical death that all will be well.
Time is no friend of the wicked; their fear of death does not age well. Needing distractions from the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads, they harden their hearts with religious zeal, or self-indulgences from the tame to the destructive.
Daniel 4:35 states that God deals with mankind according to his own will and no one can interfere or question his works among us. This is not exclusive to the political realm alone but is being manifested daily within Christendom as false teachers and their followers surely outnumber the redeemed.
The Luke 17 passage concerning our Lord’s encounter with the lepers has a dramatic lesson for those who consider themselves members of a ‘church’ and for those who are the true Church. As our Lord’s return nears, the call for the redeemed to come out from among [2 Cor. 6:17] steadily grows.
Social media is rife with those whose ability to fathom the Word of God is limited to skimming the surface, and avoiding the meat of the scriptures. Their diet consists only of that which abides above the surface, for what dwells beneath the surface could destroy what they believe to be the truth.
The power struggle among the many gods of mythology as to who is supreme is the basis of many tales; ancient and modern. One may mock these tales but it is the churches that mock God. It is no wonder that the world thinks our God is a myth or a fairy tale when we place restrictions upon our Lord.
When a church or person removes the mystery of salvation and defines its requirements; they are either naïve, deceived or a heretic. They have set aside God’s mysterious and unsearchable ways, and replaced God with the wisdom and traditions of man. No man is a soul winner; that is God’s realm alone.
A good guy asked me to explain the context of the verses listed in the picture below, that appear to some as if the Word teaches that you can lose your salvation. Also, to explain my understanding of salvation. I was glad to accept the challenge, for once upon a time, I was in his shoes.
Social media is rife with Christians extolling the benefits of government mandates, as if this evil known as COVID-19 is not of God. The danger lies in what we may call evil, God deems good and which we may call good, God considers evil. Social engineering in preparation for the mark of the Beast.
The current social engineering project [pandemic] has proven that a government in power can change the direction of society without having to fire a shot. Install fear, real or imagined; voila, the masses magically transform into sheep being led to slaughter. It is God in control of what we witness.
Many believe the Gospel must be centered around telling the lost how wicked they are, then akin to a footnote, mention that Christ has a solution for their predicament, to which they are blind. The wicked actually know they are deserving of death but seemingly do not care. The question becomes: why?
Perseverance of the saints comes not from a man’s own volition but is the product of the gift of saving faith that has made us a new creation. The principle of perseverance has become perverted by many into a system of works in order to maintain one’s salvation: a secure believer will persevere.
Churches today share a great guilt in the moral decline within our borders and around the world. The Gospel has been replaced with self-centered teaching and has given birth to many cults. Church goers are not only ill prepared for the wickedness that fills the earth but are havens for the lost.
The first two topics appear with frequency on social media and are usually accompanied by great disagreements with the cry of heresy often raised. The topic, the ‘Unforgivable Sin’ was a challenge to define I posed back in January to which I received no takers. My turn to observe and define.
Catholicism’s doctrine of purgatory almost has it right, for there is an intermediary state between death and the great White Throne judgment: hell with no possibility of reprieve. Eventually God will deliver up all in hell for their final judgment: the Lake of Fire and fiery torment forever.
On social media I see that more and more of those who clamor for ‘Christians’ to stop arguing amongst ourselves. In other words, why can’t we all just get along or agree to disagree. The major problem is that they assume that both sides of the ‘argument’ are actually fellow born again believers.
Today, the social media is clamoring for converts to their way of belief. What they are not is making are disciples of Christ and Him alone. It is their way or the highway to hell for you. The churches are filled with converts but sadly lacking in disciples; that includes the pulpits as well.
There is nothing new under the sun as the Old Testament Law is alive and well within the teaching and preaching of today's prosperity gospel of blab and grab. You can live your best life now; you can be rich, successful, healthy: just have a positive outlook on life for its magic to do its work.
People take great pride in believing they are free to live their lives as they see fit. But as the proverbial frog being boiled in its own water, the prideful are living in their last days. As society races towards judgment; churches will witness a winnowing from God, calling His own out from among.
Practical application of the scriptures can on occasion be condensed into easier to remember soundbites. Not just some pithy sayings but something that makes a believer stop and think. Often we seem to skim over the Word and forget to put it into our daily living for the world's eyes to behold.
In this world today, those in power politically are seeking to keep the people under their thumbs for they desire to control how we shall live. It is no different in the majority of churches around the world. They must set strict guidelines, whether biblical or not, to keep their followers in check.
Recently I noticed a spider that appeared to be intently studying me from its perch near the bathroom mirror. I was struck by an epiphany: how very much like this spider is to the majority of church attendees. Eying me from its conceived safe distance, not realizing the perilous end that awaited it.
Churches have become religious retreats for those who seek a refuge from the storms of life. They are needy; looking for comfort in the presence of others built around an all-loving God who forgives them as they need to ?forgive themselves?. The church must center around them and their neediness.
When the Word states that ‘many’ are called, it means the ‘many’ have heard a message that appeals to their current life situation and desires a change. Changing one’s lifestyle can greatly affect both their mental and physical well beings. Sadly, the change may not be as a result of salvation.
The cults are very active on social media as they prey upon the unwary. It behooves one who is born again to be aware of signs that may be very evident in distinguishing that which is godly from that which is a snare of the Devil.
Most ‘Christian’ churches around the world have one thing in common: they believe. They believe that Jesus did exist, died for their sins and arose from the grave. The 'many' then become converts to a religious system; never to become a disciple of Christ. Therein lies the rub.
To a new believer, all doctrine will come from others but a true child of the King will use their Holy Spirit gifted faith to desire more of the Word for themselves to discern doctrine for themselves. Adhering to a ‘boilerplate’ church doctrinal statement is not working out your own salvation.
Few true born-again believers frequent the sacred halls known as churches. The many seek that which they want to hear, that which will assuage their fear of hell and God loves them, just the way they are. A religious system has been put in place by the god of this world for his future antichrist.
Many sound-bite the book of Revelation, mainly to support their personal take while omitting sound doctrinal teaching found only in Sola Scriptura. Currently popular on social media is to question the principle of the rapture of the Bride of Christ. Ergo: the game is afoot.
The new gospel thrives on emotion; speaks of having a heart for the lost and poor of this world BUT has no idea of the difference between compassion and mercy. Their social media is filled with either heartwarming or heart wrenching tales to feed the emotions of the many like-minded church goers.
Mark 16:16 is plastered all over the social media as the supreme go-to verse for the above trio. The Word of God as a whole is ignored resulting in doctrines that cannot be supported by scripture and has become a deception of many so-called believers; leading to a vain hope in heaven.
The Word, we call the Bible, is either the most revered book or the object of great hatred among mankind. To those who revere the Word, they will ever keep finding that the truths go deeper than one can imagine. To all else, it is foolishness and impossible to fathom. The schism.
Have you noticed that in several fables, fairy tales and legends, wolves are most often characterized as evil beasts, bent upon death and destruction? Paul characterized those with false doctrines as wolves among us who have no intention of sparing the flock of God. Let us begin.
Today, myriads of supposed Christians are running around, demanding that THEIR churches be reopened. They demand THEIR rights and scream that it is the Devil that has done this injustice to THEM. They seem to overlook the words of Jesus ... the gates of Hell shall not prevail against His Church.
The term being a good Christian is not biblical, for no one is good except God. Therein lies the problem of those who believe that they can live a righteous life to either keep or gain their salvation. We can be obedient, but every true believer knows the difficulty in accomplishing that.
There is a war going on for the souls of men within the churches and social media being played out daily. This is the beginning a new series of articles addressing issues confronting both the believer and those standing on the sidelines, wondering … What is Truth?
The current worldwide crisis has truly exposed the hopelessness of the majority of 'church' going people, for their hope does not abide in God, but in the assembly. It has exposed both the pulpit and the laic alike that their belief system depends on one another rather than God.
Revival may be a thing of the past for the Western nations but worldwide, Christianity is growing despite persecution and the threat of death. The world is being 'ripened' as an apple on a tree long dormant, as the soon return of the King of Kings approaches. The world is getting ready for revival.
A recent article at foxnews.com addressed the world’s fastest growing church, in of all places, Iran; the seat of worldwide Islamic terror. They have no room for converts and neither does the Church.
We have created a hungry monster known as the institutional church. Crowds are needed to maintain salaries of the professionals, facilities payments or maintenance, along with extra curricular activities which do not come free. Membership qualifications need to be more accommodating.
Paul marveled at the Galatians being so soon removed from Him that called them into the grace of Christ to another gospel. Today for many, water baptism stands as a requirement for salvation; making grace no longer grace but subject to man's will and his obedience. It is a deadly deception.
This is not in the form of a question but a statement of fact from close observation of today’s gatherings called churches. In a world where the lines between politics, religion and reality have all but disappeared; we must step back and weigh the evidence. It is not pretty.
It’s a no-brainer that the lost hate the Christian, but myriads of practitioners of the so-called Christian religions also detest true Believers. Once upon a time in America, the line was drawn in the sand between righteous living and the world. Today, only a small vestige of that line remains.
Hollywood used and uses the term, "found religion" to describe an apparent sinner's release from their sinful ways. Family relationships restored, addictions defeated, fears overcome and the proverbial happy ending. How quaint; but tragically flawed and potentially fatal.
Unwittingly, people flock to modern assemblies masquerading as churches to have their ears tickled and their consciences appeased. The evidence is overwhelming, for those who identify with these institutions, have no love of the Truth and disdain for anything contrary to their new found belief.
The church has become hard of hearing, impractical in nature, filled with dogma based upon personal bias, along with ignorance of the scriptures . This results in unteachable spirits, hardheartedness and no love of the brethren. We have met the enemy and it is us.
A virus has been downloaded into the minds and psyches of myriads of men, women and children on a world-wide basis…by God. This virus has no cure, as its purpose is to cause untold millions to believe a lie that they may be damned as those who have no love of the Truth.
In a world that supposed Christians purposefully ignore the O.T., teach the unconditional love of God as a half-truth, avoid context and privately interpret scripture in selective pieces to support one’s current belief system; the Devil is truly in the details.
The bigger the crowd, the easier it is to hide one’s true identity among fellow chameleons. The more intimate the gathering, the more chameleon-like one must become to blend in. The question becomes; how to identify the chameleons among us?
Martin Luther: “This free will is a special doctrine of the antichrist.” Not the Antichrist of Revelation but the spirit of false teachers and their followers being “anti” the sound doctrines of Scripture. Today these antichrists proliferate the airways and pulpits of the world.
Christianity is a religion and in large part has nothing to do one’s saving relationship to Christ. It has become a system of belief that differs greatly from the Word and yet shares so many similarities with other religions; including Islam. How does being a Christian differ from Christianity?
Not only do the Grinches of Christendom surface this time of year, they also pollute the social media with abhorrence for those who should differ; thus, sowing discord among the brethren. They are so absorbed in their own world, they neglect the fact the God is God, not them.
The pulpits and pews in tandem with the social media are filled with soundbite Christians who cut and paste Scripture according to their own personal doctrines, ignore proper grammar and fill one another’s heads with confusion resulting in bad doctrine.
The worldly religionists work overtime, attempting to convince themselves that God loves everyone. Surely a loving God would never be angry enough to condemn anyone to an eternal hell if it should exist. Even pronouncing heresy towards those who believe and teach otherwise.
It is amazing that this country has a day set aside for the giving of thanks, with some great religious overtones. Sadly, this day also has been usurped by our modern culture and the church has more than dutifully followed. The church has fallen asleep, and the world now darkens this day.
The world has created God in their own image. Subsequently, there are myriads of roads one may follow to reach their desired goal once this earthly life ceases to exist. Sadly, this too is the case within today's churches all across America and confusion reigns. Many shall say Lord, Lord...
Why is it that when the going gets tough, Christians desire to have things go back to the way they were? In essence, we try to remove God from our current circumstances as if He is on vacation during our present tribulations.
Everywhere I turn I see Christians being urged to pray for our country’s return to God. This country was never with God, but our God has been with this country in spite of ourselves. It is the true believers that must return to the Word.
In a nutshell, they lack the fear of God and judgment. As science advances at lightspeed, worldwide communications engulf the masses and wickedness grows exponentially; the tools of unbelief seem to dominate the souls of man.
The Word of God is very explicit concerning the description of the church being overwhelmed by Selfism as a sign of the perilous last days. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 lists 19 traits of the self-indulgent who frequent the halls of many so-called Christian institutions known as churches.
SELFISM - was used by Paul Vitz in his 1977 book Psychology as Religion: The Cult of Self-Worship. He claimed that all of modern-day liberalism found within churches are essentially SELFISM at their core. He blames prominent psychologists of the third quarter of the 20th century, I do not.
Today our congregations are full of both wheat and tares; the wheat being more likely the minority. They look the same, sound very much alike but are worlds apart in their relationship to God.
Today, you find a lot of very smart people within the "church", most of which have less godly wisdom than a rock, including the majority of the so-called leadership. We know that if man will not acknowledge the Son of God, at least the rocks will cry out.
Today’s modern gospel propagates the message that Jesus is love: that He loves everybody all the time and is sorrowful of spirit that so many people would reject His free offer of salvation. This is a devilish lie; one that keeps so many comfortable on their journey to hell.
We have lost the catastrophic difference between the meaning of the words many and few. Per the words of Jesus – broad is the way…many, and … narrow is the way…few, also - in that day many…I never knew you. Easy believism is a doctrine that makes church goers feel good on their way to hell.
God's design for the culmination of the ages, cannot be thwarted by neither man nor Beast. His ways and His thoughts are beyond us and why He has chosen the weak, the simple and the nothings of this world to carry His message makes this writer more than qualified.
Man foolishly believes that we control our own fate; whether it be how well we shall live or how well it shall be with us in death. The fifth trumpet of Revelation demonstrates the words of Jesus, that the HE alone possesses the keys to life and death; many will seek death but it shall elude them.
Even when a person has empirical evidence staring them in the face, yet they choose to believe a lie rather than the God of the Bible, proves this most important point: salvation stands upon election by a sovereign God; not by the will of the flesh or man's free will.
The world will never be the same and is totally unaware that it is being drawn together, fully under the sovereign design of God, for judgment. Even then, God in His mercy, will pull many from the jaws of eternal death, even though it means the bodily death of being a Martyr.
One can only imagine what it would be like to live in a world without a strong voice for the Gospel, where wickedness grows daily and those who strive to remember the "good old days" and to keep religion alive are a dwindling number. Everyone making it to the next day, hoping things will change.
Popular Christian literature depicts catastrophic events surrounding the rapture of the Church: scripture does not support this view. Israel is the centerpiece of the 70th week, not the Bride; we must focus on His people to understand how God will bring history to a climax.
Media rhetoric is filled with hatred of anything resembling Christianity. In California a politician introduced legislation that would possibly put churches or faith based groups open to legal action for counseling or promoting literature (Bible?) against certain sexual practices. The game is afoot.
The church for the most part rightly condemns abortion, yet the most precious gift of God to the family, our children, we ABANDON to the professional "holy" men, to their worldly ways and teachings.
WE have been so blind being unable to see the "forest for the trees"; the falling away has been in full bloom for the better part of a century, never realizing that we were are a part of the problem.
A spiritual war rages for the minds of man within the church and upon social media; a massive battlefield where the great deceiver unleashes his lies in the form of 'religion', bringing doubt, false hopes and rejection to many.
For such a freedom loving people here in America; why is there such an incredible hatred and violent protesting against another's freedom loving view? It is simple; freedom is a very dangerous weapon.
To love God is to hate sin; yet churches overlook trivial and worldly sinful behavior for there is no fear of the written Word from the pulpit or the pew. Ignorance is not bliss but a stench to God.
Almost ALL religion is like an old western movie set; a facade erected to hide the emptiness within. Not many would outwardly characterize themselves as God haters, but their "religion" betrays them.
If one thinks that Christianity is immune from the delusion of a "God-Complex", the enemy has succeeded in blinding believers to the Trojan Horse, the 5th Column in our midst. Itching ears demanding false hope and myriads of charlatans ready to accommodate them with lies.
Know that the wicked will 'wax worse and worse' as the end draws near, for little do we realize that the threat lies deeply embedded within America's hallowed halls and assemblies under the banner of churches. It is time for the redeemed to awaken and come out from among.
God raised Assyria in 772 BC to take idolatrous Israel into captivity for their sin. The complacent American church is due for a rude awakening; to separate us (the wheat) from the dead chaff within.
History is replete with the legacies of those who lived good and honorable lives; later to be usurped by the nefarious and self-centered agenda of those who seek an air of legitimacy for their hatred.
Jeremiah was of the last faithful pastors to Judah and God's indictment against the pastors of Jeremiah's day proves that there is NOTHING new under the sun. "Deja vu" - the nightmare has returned.
As the Pharisees were an extremely principled lot; the self-serving American Christian indignantly stands upon principles, trusting not in a sovereign God but in their own evil self-righteousness.
Our enemy the Devil is the master of deceitfulness and there is NO Truth in him; yet out of our pulpits and across social media a most clever of lies is perpetuated as the basic tenet of the Gospel.
I will guarantee that the majority of you have never heard a sermon or teaching on Deuteronomy 14: 22-29; The Law of the Tithe. Why? It's impossible to justify current tithing doctrine by God's Word!
There is a shaking going on within today's churches, as generally accepted norms for the roles, rules and content are being questioned, not by crackpots but with well thought out biblical arguments.
We are a nation full of Christian whiners, missing the good ole' days of "peaceful prosperity", where being a believer meant to be free from being held accountable to God for our lackadaisical walk.
Today's churches are so caught up in enjoying the American way of life; the wealth, the freedom and the relative security; that we have equated being an American to that of being a Christian nation.
Old enemies have again reared their heads into the current fray for the souls of men. 'Out-of-body and 'near-death' experiences are becoming of interest again after nearly 30 years of lying dormant. Welcome to the Liars Club; there is money to be made.
What can one say when life has run its course: the next stop - eternity? We cannot go back to right wrongs, nor recall unloving words. Rest assured, our impact in others lives does not end at death.
Why are believers so enamored with the American way of life? What ever happened to living for Christ first; praying for the grace to live a life that embodies our Savior's love and His righteousness.
Have we become too wise in our own estimation, too confident in our own strength and too esteemed in our personal religiosity that we have overlooked the fact that it is a Sovereign God behind it all.
The American church has become fat, lazy and apethetic - towards politics? - No: towards living a life that is "..good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior". We want it our way not His Way.
To those who do not believe that Jesus is God Almighty and that hell is just a figment of the Christian's Trinitarian mindset; let the buyer beware, for the day is approaching when you will believe!
As the Judaizers have come into vogue lately; Unitarianism is becoming aggressive as they oppose the Christian position on the Trinity in today's social media; but that is only the tip of the iceberg.
As hunger among Christians for pastors/teachers that proclaim the Truth grows; godly men of yesteryear, are maligned from the pulpits, saying their messages are outdated and not relevant today. A LIE!
"God is NOT a man that He should lie" and that He should ever condemn someone to hell whose sins were removed "as far as the east is from the west" is to say that He is a God who is NOT to be trusted.
What was once thought to be a perfect choice of parents has become the root of the problem that has seen the American Church become powerless and worldly. Sadly, we have taken this disease around the world, rearing its ugly head...everywhere.
Why is it with this modern church, the only time the subject of death is broached from the pulpit or bible study is when death necessitates a funeral: even then it is softened so as not to offend kith and kindred?
Holding an evolutionist stance is so very easy because it only requires one answer when anyone should question your beloved "theory": TIME! Not one unique set of evidences that is not common to all.
An hour or two a week we seemly gather as a community of believers to "worship": sadly what we witness on any given Saturday or Sunday has NOTHING to do with biblical worship in far too many churches. One thing it does do, it makes it inviting to the world to come and see the show.
There truly is nothing new under the sun. What we are beholding today as in regards to the terror that is gripping the world known as Islam, is akin to Deja vu as far as the Middle East is concerned.
The question is NOT whether we are perfect in all of our ways or the magnitude of our failures; it is the omniscience of a sovereign God that has known of our failures from before the foundation of the world. His loving grace will ALWAYS lead us home.
The Devil relishes every moment he can cause one who claims the name of Christ to stumble; especially if it brings shame upon our Lord and His people. Unwittingly, we can be a partner in his deceit.
Why would one who professes to be a Christian and a student of the Word put their hopes for the coming year to be an improvement? The Word has promised us that as the Lord's return nears; mankind will grow worse and worse; deceiving and being deceived. It will be the status quo no more.
The Christmas story is more than its celebrated beginning: it is a tale of love and compassion woven around the lives of those who beheld our Lord's glory, with an ending that shook heaven and earth.
Tis' is the season for the pharisaical and grinchiest of Christendom to spread their vitriolic, dismal and unloving doctrines, calling anyone who does not hold to their standards of conduct; a heretic. They do more damage to the name of Christ and in the lives of the weaker believers than the devil.
As tragedy strikes close to home, a sudden epiphany storms the minds of those who either ignore or keep God on a shelf titled, "Open ONLY in Case of Emergency" but silent when it is another's problem.
Fear has plagued man from the beginning, its ebb and flow within society, from times of peace then of great despair; an endless cycle. It is the sum of all fears we now witness as the END draws nigh.
It's one thing for the world to desire the belief in evolution as they desperately seek a reason to not believe; but as for the educated Western Christian, it has made us biblically illiterate, weak and a fearful people.
Our Christianity is like a grocery store: we march down the aisles, pick and choose our favorite brand, read labels if it is too close to call and end up with a mixed bag that suits our tastes alone.
Our world is in a state of flux and confusion: the war of religious ideologies, the climate as a political issue, marriage a raging battlefield and all because mankind desires NOT the Truth but a lie.
Election, a very controversial subject among Christians; an object of distain to the unbeliever looking into a world they see as foolishness. Election: is it the will of man or is it the will of God?
The Western culture's perverted view of love, which is continually being crammed down our throats, has wormed its way into our churches, infecting our pulpits, ministries and witness to a dying world.
The violence within America seems to rock our sensibilities on a daily basis with barbaric acts against family, law and order. Sadly, society only reflects the dying influence of the American church.
So much of the social media today when it comes to Christianity is filled with self-seeking and legalistic preaching, which is diametrically opposed to the Word and the everlasting Gospel of our Lord.
We will be judged for every word that comes from our mouths and that which is sung from our mouths will carry the same scrutiny from our God. We have become self-centered and arrogant with our music.
Inclusive-"ism", a suitable descriptive for the Western church. We not only incorporate the world's methods and style, we embrace them. Where is the separation the Word commands in 2 Corinthians 6:17?
Over 50 years ago on September 19th, 1968, a young man woke up to this being his last day alive before taking his own life. Later that evening, the Truth set him free: I am that young man.
Have you ever stopped to consider why there is unbelief. Why we, who were once unbelievers, are so nasty towards others who have not come to the Light. We need to reconsidered who we were and are in Christ.
It would appear as if there is more than one God of the Bible, by the way individuals or denominations believe, teach and preach on the role of God working within the affairs of man and creation.
The end is near, for our adversary, the Devil, using a ruse from the beginnings of Christianity, has resurrected the Judaizers of old who are actively working overtime within the modern social media.
A fear shadows those who believe they could lose their salvation at the slightest infraction of God's law, robbing them of the joy and the "peace" that passes all understanding that GUARDS our hearts.
A controversial subject among many Christians; not just the timing but does the Bible actually supports the doctrine of a rapture for believers only. It is the Old Testament that lays its foundation.
What the world deems acceptable concerning marriage has NO bearing upon what God has ordained for a Christian's marriage. You live out YOUR marriage to the glory of God and "let your light so shine".
The West's Christian culture's addiction to a sound-bite mentality; "cherry picking" Revelation for the personal, of interest items has spawned many books, movies and worst of all, broken fellowships.
What we see and hear from the pulpits of America and the internet is a mass of illogical ideas and concepts of what God has prepared for the millennium: we need to separate biblical fact from fiction.
This is my case for the new heavens and earth, along with the New Jerusalem being immediately present following the 70th Week of Daniel. Home of the saints for the 1,000 year millennium and eternity.
Why did the Devil escape the Lake of Fire at Christ's return? God's ways are not our ways; He is not yet finished with him. Our God has another task for the great deceiver to perform; then judgment.
The return of Jesus is the most anticipated and dreaded event in the history of creation. The few yearn for His return while the many, fallen angels included, live in absolute terror of that day!
The 7th Bowl judgment along with the destruction of Babylon the Great must be considered as "one" final act of God upon the wicked before being overtaken by the "thief in the night": our Lord Jesus.
When judgment comes, it will be too late to repent; all our sorrow and tears over our sins will be of no avail. As time runs out for humanity, terror will replace hope and worse, death will offer no escape.
Not all of the world will have the Mark of the Beast or will worship his image; only the 'haves'. The number of have nots will far exceed those who sold their souls for a bowl of pottage as did Esau … but the Sheep are in for a pleasant surprise.
All prophetic Scripture shall be fulfilled as our God will not overlook a single detail. Seemingly mysterious at times because; "His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts". Isaiah 55:8
The world does not want the Truth; it desires someone to tell them what they want to hear. During the darkest days of mankind, they shall desire a LIE as they blindly march on to their death by fire.
The Antichrist, a title that has spawned books and movies. The world is facing a leadership vacuum that is soon to be filled. Who is this man of perdition; or a better question; what is he?
Revelation's road map can appear confusing at first glance but when we step back, take a breath and look at it with a singularity of purpose, using all of Scripture, it comes together quite nicely.
Beware, this world has never seen the full wrath of the Devil released upon mankind, but that is soon going to change. At God's direction, he is now banned to earth knowing his days are numbered.
Satan's hatred of Israel has driven the histories of empires and conquest for thousands of years. Expulsion from heaven only aggravates his hatred, forcing a race against the clock: God's timepiece.
The two witnesses take on the Beast with the God given supernatural powers of their own. No tent or revival meetings; just condemnation, plagues and fire. They are without rival among prophets EVER!
The Western Christian world, argues over who these two are: Moses, Elijah or Enoch, etc. Well, they are greatly mistaken, as I was. I believe the Word will demonstrate a much different picture.
One Woe down. The second Woe will bring about the deaths of a third of all mankind; carnage that will last for over three years. Stay tuned, the third Woe, the worst of them all, is yet to come.
Five months will feel like an eternity as a demonic hoard from the Abyss descends upon mankind with "specific" orders directly from the throne of God. We also will be introduced to a new antagonist .
As a horror movie's menacing terror is amplified by darkness; the ills that now beset creation take on the pallor of a plague with NO cure in sight. A fool says in his heart, there is no God.
God's assault upon wicked mankind and a broken creation continues; this time against the source of badly needed rain for a scorched earth and life giving fresh water.
A broken planet suffering from the effects of man's sin is the first to feel the might of God's judgment: to get the attention of man. The 144,000 will have fulfilled prophecy in their arsenal.
It is a merciful God that will execute the deserved judgment upon an unrepentant world and an uncountable number shall be redeemed out of the coming chaos via a redeemed Israel.
Too many within the Church believe the rapture triggers the 70th week of Daniel: not so, for it is only one of many events that lead to a purified Israel, the sealing of the 144,000 and then to judgment!
The opening of the seals continues with the two major themes of Revelation: 1) Martyrdom for the "seed" of Israel's witness and 2) the full wrath of God being unleashed upon an unrepentant world.
A sovereign God introduces mankind to the unholy Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; His instruments of wrath and judgment for a wicked and unrepentant world.
Too many Christians believe that evolution vs creation is just a war of words or a different way to view the universe. Not so, its cancer has impacted almost every area of one's daily life.
Those who do not ignore the daily assault of evolutionary thinking, teaching and media, have a greater sense of the impending judgment and the true relevance of Revelation in today's culture and life.
Evolution: the most diabolical and perfect of lies ever perpetrated by Satan upon our educated society since the Garden of Eden. It's sole purpose is to blind men to the Truth as revealed in the book of Revelation. Christ will return and all will give an account.
Logic is required concerning the events surrounding the Rapture, to help us think outside the current popular fictionalized scenarios in both print and film.
To be raptured or not to be raptured: that is the question. The thought of the rapture has brought comfort to many, confusion to some and sorry to say, very heated disagreements among a few.
An amazing scene in heaven opens; the vision of the things that will take place which has excited, mystified, confused and caused schisms among believers for centuries, now begins in the most Holy.
The omniscient Lord issues His call to corporate godliness tempered with hard words for five of the churches, but promises of joy in victory for the those who are the over-comers found in each church.
Jesus' insight into His Church truly shows that He has chosen the foolish, the weak and the nothings of this world for His Bride and to present us faultless before the Father is a miracle indeed.
Per Amos 3:7 God will do nothing without telling His prophets first. Revelation is a message from our heavenly Father to empower the Church into action and to warn the world of their impending doom.
When I first addressed Revelation, I truly had no idea of how many professing believers actually avoid Revelation, as if it were a scary journey into the unknown. It is the Book with a great promise to those who read, hear and meditate upon its’ words. It is a gift from God.
The key to studying the scriptures is to set for yourself certain parameters; know your baseline beliefs of no compromise, make no assumptions based upon your non-baseline beliefs and most important: be teachable.
As the 70th week of Daniel draws near there should be great concern among the American Christian community as to whether we will be found faithful at our Lord's return.
