I am a Mental Health Therapist with over 15 years experience who blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
After three years with the same profile, I realized just how stuffy and uninteresting it sounded. So let me condense it for you: I have been a therapist for a long time. Now, I am an ADHD Coach and I flippin' LOVE IT! I have lived in a lot of places in a few different countries. I am an unashamed Anglophile, and when I travel I opt out of the tourist attraction trap to instead sit outside a cafe or bar and watch the locals go by.
I have two preschool kids who are wildly, insanely, amazingly entertaining and stressful all at the same time. They are everything to me. My husband is just as ADD as me, so we make a formidable pair - for better and worse.
I've only recently come to fully understand what it means to be comfortable in your own skin. I came upon it by accident. Finally, I know how to be authentically myself. Except when I REALLY embarrass myself - then I pretend I don't know me.
And serious stuff aside, I must add that my favorite thing in the world is absurdity. Normal is much too boring. Life was never meant to be lived totally in reality (whatever that is), or we would never have been given imaginations. Three year olds are the only ones who truly know the secret meaning of life. I wish we didn't have to parent that enlightenment out of them, but I digress..
Lastly, I think ADHD can be an exciting ride if you know how to drive it properly. Now that I`m in the driver`s seat, the road`s a lot less bumpy and a lot more fun! If you wanna know more about that, check out my website:
